All about Antarctica from someone who has been there once. I hope to go back to write a book with the same name as this blog.

Fedor Crosses Cape of Good Hope Meridan
I know I have not posted any updates on Fedor's progress in sailing solo around Antarctica for a while, but there really has not been much to report on his progress. It has been relatively smooth sailing for him lately, well, as smooth as sailing in the Antarctic gets. He has now passed the Cape of Good Hope Meridan, which means he is back in the Eastern Hemisphere. This article talks about his progress in his quest to sail around Antarctica, but also gives an interesting look at what daily life on the sailboat is like for Fedor. I found it most interesting how he sleeps in one hour blocks every four hours or so and stays awake from sunset to sunrise, thus sleeping mostly during the day.
