Chris Foot's historic solo South Pole expedition

Just learned about Christ Foot's historic solo South Pole expedition from this article about deVere Group being the lead sponsor. Chris Foot is going to attempt to do a solo and unsupported expedition to the South Pole and back to the Hercules Inlet, which is something that no explorer has ever done successfully.
